J. Brown - Founder, Chairman and CEO
Established in 1960 by Robert
J. Brown, B&C has been at the forefront of corporate
social responsibility initiatives for major
corporations. Throughout its history, the firm has
personified the concepts of superior customer
service and reliability within the context of a
fully productive citizenry.
Founded in the crucible of the
American Civil Rights Movement, B&C continues to
build on a global reputation for uniting and
endorsing large corporations in the public and
private sectors and the human resources capital that
drives them. This reputation grew out of success
working on behalf of national corporations resolving
crises associated with work-place inequities and
social issues.
During the 1970s, our chairman
– while serving as special assistant to the
President of the U.S. – played a pivotal role in the
development and implementation of Minority and Women
Business support mechanisms. The firm’s evolution
continued to parallel the global business
environment during the 1980s when B&C established a
strong offshore presence, expanding onto the African
continent as well as Asia, Europe and South America.
During this expansion, the firm’s core emphasis
remained focused on exceeding client expectations by
providing customized, consumer-focused solutions.
Throughout the 1990s B&C
developed programs designed to expand corporate
goodwill through outreach efforts that promoted
quality of life in communities. B&C was a pioneer
in developing Corporate Social Responsibility
programs and continues to be a strong advocate for
linking these programs to the clients’ business case
while having a direct impact on the bottom line.
Today, B&C remains committed to
sanctioning policies and procedures for
multicultural inclusion in the public and private
sectors, governmental agencies and national
not-for-profit organizations. Still our guiding
principles persist: superior client service,
world-class innovation and integrity.
